Aviation Week’s MRO Latin America Will Focus on Benefits of Aircraft Maintenance in Central and South America, April 12-13 in Miami Beach

Aviation Week MRO Latin AmericaMRO Latin America, part of Aviation Week‘s successful MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) event series, will land at the Miami Beach Convention Center on April 12-13. Co-located with the industry’s largest aviation maintenance tradeshow, MRO Americas, and MRO Military, MRO Latin America will take a close look at the advantages of servicing aircraft in Latin America, including economic benefits, as well as the challenges, such as maintaining a skilled workforce and complying with foreign government regulations.

MRO providers in Central and South America are increasing rapidly as U.S. carriers recognize the advantages of servicing aircraft there and as new-generation aircraft are delivered into the area. Additionally, older aircraft remain and need intensive maintenance care. Over 6,000 executives, officials and professionals from all areas of the aviation aftermarket industry will attend to connect with existing and prospective customers, close business deals, learn about new technologies and services, and discover the latest trends and developments. A sold-out exhibition hall will host over 550 product and services suppliers.

Ruy Amparo, VP-MRO at Brazil’s TAM Airlines will deliver the keynote address, followed by specialized workshops and presentations from executives at Abiax Air Aviation, AeroMexico, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Interjet, ITR, and Worldwide Airports Lawyers Association. Sessions at MRO Americas feature J. Randolph Babbitt, administrator, FAA; Barry Eccleston, president and CEO, Airbus Americas; Wolfgang Mayrhuber, chairman and CEO (retired), Deutsche Lufthansa AG, and many other prominent speakers.
