Dassault’s Falcon 7X Wins Prestigious Aviation Award in Asia
Dassault’s Falcon 7X today was named the winner of the Business Aviation category at the Aviation Awards Asia. The award, part of 2011 Asian Aerospace Expo, was received by Jean-Michel Jacob, Vice President of International Sales for Dassault Falcon.
“The Falcon 7X is an ideal airplane for the Asian market where it has already established a great reputation since its first delivery in the region” said Jacob who is based in Dassault Falcon’s Beijing office. “Asian operators fully appreciate, not only the advanced technology of the Falcon 7X but also how that technology translates into incredible performance and a smoother, quieter ride. Our employees will be very proud of this award.” he added.
Award nominations were assessed by a panel of distinguished industry professionals, taking into account individual nominees’ merits and achievements in areas such as innovation, customer service, the deployment of technology to improve efficienc
y, safety improvements and overall business strategy. The Aviation Awards Asia celebrates and recognizes champions in the Asian aviation industry.
The Falcon 7X can connect Beijing with Paris and New York with Riyadh. It can also connect Shanghai with Auckland and Seattle with London.
The Falcon 7X is the first and only business jet to incorporate a digital flight control system which provides greater control, opera
tional safety and a smoother flight. The aircraft also comes standard with the award-winning EASy flight deck. The EASy flight deck is designed to reduce pilot workload and improve pilot interaction through elevated situational awareness in the cockpit.
Over 100 Falcon 7Xs have been delivered to nearly every corner of the world since it received dual FAA and EASA certification in 2007. Customers particularly appreciate the high quali
ty fit and finish and quiet of its wide body cabin since flights over 12 hours are common place.
The Falcon 7X is powered by three highly reliable and efficient Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A engines which help to give the Falcon 7X a greater airport performance and increased peace of mind during long over water flights. The Falcon 7X also has 15-30% greater fuel efficiency than other aircraft in the large cabin, long range class. With a range of 5,950 nm (eight passengers, M.80 with NBAA IFR reserves), the aircraft can comfortably connect 95% of the commonly used business aviation city pairs worldwide.
